Does anyone know of or have any experience of these types of jobs?

It all seems a bit fishy to me. Are they above board? Surely it is some kind of plagiarism?

    Just curious really.

This type of thing has been around for a while. It's one of the drawbacks of Continuous Assessment by Assignment. I can see a situation developing where HEI's will reserve the right to conduct interviews post-submission - esp. if a submitted exam paper and an assignment are radically different in style, quality and overall result.

From a students POV I think it's risky. If you submit an assignment via e.g. Turn It In, and the red lights start flashing, it's too late to do anything and a refund of £48 per '000 words is not going to compensate you...

For "Writers", well leaving aside the whole ethics question, do you get paid the same regardless of grade? Surely a 1H result would need to be paid more than a bare pass?

BTW - the web-site says that writers must be UK-resident
