I've to meet up with an old friend who lives in Dublin - dundrum - we want to meet somewhere half way between Kildare and dundrum some evening after 7 and have tea and cake or a snack. Neither of us can think of anywhere suitable open after 7 for that kind of meeting and also somewhere equally convenient or inconvenient for both of us. Hope to get some suggestions and thanks in advance

    Liffey Valley?
Maynooth has loads of nice places which depending on your part of Kildare could be half way.

Maynooth has lovely coffee shops but I doubt you'd find them open after 7pm though. I was thinking maybe Avoca on the N7 but they seems to close at 7pm. Maybe Carton House or some other hotel would be your best bet.

thanks for the replies. I'm in Naas so Maynooth might not be convenient. I think the coffee shops in liffey valley all close early.

Don't write off pubs. Plenty of people would have a coffee in a pub. What about An Poitín Stil in Rathcoole? A little nearer to you than her, but not much.
