comparing bikes

    is stack and reach the best way to compare geometries from different manufactures
    currently riding a trek and was thinking of upgrading to something a bit more fancy

    for example lets compare my bike with a cervelo r3

    ........ trek ........... cervelo
    stack... 577 .........580
    reach... 387 ....... 387
    top t ... 560 ....... 564
    i know the best way to compare is give it a good test ride but on paper both look very similar
    advice, opinions welcome
