Our hoover packed up so might get this. I'll check around for other bargains but looks tempting. Miele is a decent brand.

Good reduction on this cleaner - might be useful for someone.

Got an email from CamelCamel telling me this has been dropped from £100 to £65 on Amazon. Any Irish site I checked they are at least €130.

    www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005ISUQ94/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Very good reviews. Also recommended by Which. Full Which report in this link:

The Amazon link isn't working for me

Shipping to ROI is included, though maybe you're looking at PM for convenience sake?

I actually bought one before from makro....And it was free shipping to uk, So i used PM, It fitted in just about, BUT Makro did not place it in another box which amazon tend to do...And the size of the boxes they use sometimes are ridiculous

I paid 99 sterling for mine

Showing as £119 now for me

Would have jumped at that, my hoover is nearly as old as I am, I'm well due an upgrade.

I have been keeping an eye on this model for a while. Not as good as the Amazon offer but..

On adverts, there is a guy in Galway who has a new one that he is not using for €100.
    www.adverts.ie/vacuum-cleaners/miele-vacuum-s2111-1600w-compact/5313902

Also on adverts there is a shop in Malahide selling new ones for €120 - I think this is the lowest price I have seen from shops/online in Ireland.

    Are they really that good?

Need a new vacuum cleaner. The range of vacuum cleaners our there has me dizzy, so many choices. I like the idea of a bagless one, such as a Dyson, but on the other hand I don't want to spend that much. Someone suggested the Henry (or one of the other nametagged ones from Numatic). Saw a yellow one today and it's brute ugly.

This Miele is back up to €100 on Amazon UK.

I have it and it's brilliant!!!

Don't go to argos for the bags as they are almost double the price of Powercity

Actually the bags are on sale on amazon at £7.99 for 4 but they do last a good while

    yep! :)

Miele is one of the few brands that hasn't compromised on quality over the years and everything they make is pretty much bulletproof as a result.

we actually went in to powercity to get a dyson a few years ago and the girl in the shop was telling us she hates selling dysons because so many of them come back broken. she recommended a miele and i checked online there and then for amazon reviews and it was top notch for only about 20 quid difference to the dyson we had planned on getting, so we got it and have never looked back.

i've heard of cleaners in hotels using them a lot instead of the industrial ones as they work and last just as well.

we were in temple street several times with a sick toddler last year and the parent accommodation there has two miele washing machines and dryers that are literally running 24/7 and the staff there told me they've been going for years like that with only basic maintenance.

it's funny, they're kind of "the biggest brand you've never heard of" until you get one and then you see them everywhere where a real workhorse is needed. :)

Mine was dispatched yesterday ... should have it by Fri

Mine was dispatched to my personal family Parcel Motel in NI - and the failed deliveries are racking up by the day  Couriers totally uncontactable.

Beginning to fear it'll be returned to bloody Amazon.

    Thanks.

I wish I didn't miss this deal, wondering if I should buy now at £99.99 or wait a few days to see if price drops again.

Did you all use Parcel Motel for delivery? and if so, was there any problem with box being too big for locker?

Set up a price alert with camel & you'll be set to pounce when the price drops.

Powercity had this model for €90 in Dec 2012, so worth keeping an eye on them too.

I missed this deal on Amazon. Needed a new vacuum cleaner in a hurry so bought locally - Miele S8310 for €199. Great suction and variable power.

Where is the best place to buy Miele's own brand bags and filters - best price?
