    hi,
I have got a few home recorded songs ( quite lo fi) that I am looking to get mixed .does anyone know any users or sites where I could find someone to mix them? ( preferably for free). just know from experience a good mix can make world of difference and don't want to mess up the songs by mixing it myself
    thanks

Good mixing cannot make bad audio sound good. By Lo-Fi i'm assuming you're meaning these mixes are not great in audio quality. No amount of mixing will fix that. Just chalk it off as an experience, these songs are a "demo" and if you want something proper go and re-record them properly with someone who knows what they are doing (maybe even a friend, not necessarily a studio) and try to achieve a better result. Your best bet is to try and mix them yourself, you know why? You'll learn SOOOOO much about what to do/not do next time you make a recording and it will be invaluable. I would recommend you check out a channel on you-tube called "The Recording Revolution" watch his 1st 2 seasons of 5 minutes to a better mix. You'll thank me in a few weeks/months

well there more on the lo fi side of things than the polished lets say. not necessary bad audio as the equipment I use is actually quite good. the whole things a demo album anyway but just going from my general experience with recording i would prefer someone else to mix. push comes to shove ill try tackle it myself. cool thanks I will check out the link as always trying to improve music knowledge/ability
