the missus won a new Bravia tv last week and we got delivery last night. As you would expect we're delighted with this, old lcd is almost 8 years old so it's a decent upgrade. However.....

I was surprised at the power cable that came with it. Instead of a single cable plugging from tv to socket, it has, what can only be described as a laptop charger, a 2 part power cable with an transformer. It's going to be a nightmare to hang this on the wall with this cable (don't get me started on the bracket holes that are on the bottom half of the tv rather than in the center). Plasterboard wall is dot & dab onto block, so I can't bury the transformer in the wall.

Is this the norm for tv cables now?

If I hang the transformer on the wall behind the tv, will it cause interference?
