Parental Leave and handing in your notice

Hi Can you hand your notice while on unpaid parental leave or do you have to return to work first? This would have nothing to do with maternity leave as this was finished months ago and have returned to the work force since. Thanks

It would depend on your contract. Most jobs don't allow leave during a notice period. That said - if you're on unpaid leave it might be different. I'll move this to the Work and Jobs forum where people might have more insight.
