Humax freesat box freezes up

Hi,
I got a Humax freesat box from you before Xmas,  for the last week it just freezes up
on startup nothing will work only the sound button, [font=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]My problem is every evening I put the box into Standby to go to bed, and the next morning I press the standby button on the handset and... it completely locks up!..The last 5 mornings in a row!..I have to unplug the mains power lead and plug it back in (power cycle) and it starts up may after 2nd or third time.[/font]

Hi Fab, sorry to hear that you are having problems.

Have you tried any sort of a reset on the unit using the menus ?

Does it come out of standby and then lock up or not respond at all ?

Hi Dave.
Yes it come out of standby and then lock up and it has to be power off maybe one or two times.
No I didn't tried reset as it will delete all recorded programmes on the box.

Hi Fab,

Thanks for getting back to us.

We may need to get the unit sent back to us so we can forward it on to Humax to have a look at it.

The only thing is we couldn't guarantee that the HDD wont be wiped if it has to go of for repair.

You could maybe try dropping Humax an e-mail at uksupport@humax-digital.co.uk

Hopefully we can get this sorted for you.
