Samsung Galaxy s3 battery not charging

My Galaxy S3 is about 18mths old. Battery life was never excellent with it but it got me through the day. Since Wednesday last week it won't fully charge anymore. Is very slow to even get to 50% - might overnight but as soon as I use it it's drained again. Anyone else have this issue?
