Lights constantly blowing in my car

I started a thread on tyres recently, so feel free to merge if you see fit.

I think a new one is better though.

I keep getting my headlights and rear lights replaced in my Peugeot 207 and they keep blowing after 2 or 3 weeks. Is there a reason for this? Fuse maybe?? For give the ignorance.

My NCT is in August and I don't want the bulb to randomly go again on the way to the centre. The car is only 6 years old and was bought 2 years ago.

The regulator in the alternator could be faulty and is overcharging. It could be a bad earth connection from the battery to the car body.

When you are braking and have indicator on are rear lights going all funny and getting dim and others flashing along with the indicator lamp as said possible faulty connection.

Poor quality regulators and even worse quality wiring, yep you're correct it's a French thing.

For what it's worth I had a similar issue in my motorbike recently. I stuck a volt meter across the battery with the engine on and revving and it read 24V... it's supposed to be 14-15 max.
    Blown regulator rectifier. Easy fix.
