    Hi,

I pulled out the dishwasher this eve to clean all the bits and bobs inside as there was a smell developing.

When I put the lot back together etc it won't seem to fill. Is there something simple I've overlooked doing before turning back on.

    Was working fine beforehand.

    Thanks

My first thought too but definetly not.

Coincidentally I've just had my Bosch Dishwasher refuse to fill with the "Check water" light on.

No kinks in the hose and both ends of the fill hose seem clear of obstruction.
Can you remove the little filter looking yoke that's at the back of the washer behind where the hose screws in ?

dito if hose is not kinked you need to check the filter and your water pressure at tap is ok i take it,clean internal food basket waste outlet also and use a cleaner in empty dishwaher when ready.

Ok, I have discovered that it seems to be because of a drain issue that is not filling. If I reset the machine, turn it off and plug it out for a while it will fill but then later in the cycle when it drains again. ?.... It won't refill.

    Any suggestions

Sorry to butt in OP but ... I've got a strange one that;s hopefully an easy fix ?

Pulled out the washing machine. It'll work OK IF I tilt it forward slightly (by lifting the back up).
When I put it back down the "Check Water" light comes back on.

    Any ideas folks ?

take it out again and tilt it forwards as much as you can and see if water leaks out from underneath, if so test it for filling again when you put it upright, it should fill

Did that a few times - seemed to do the trick.
Hopefully I won't have to go near the thing again for a while now!

EDIT : Bastards thing isn't working now that I put it back. Time to call in someone professional I think.

the machine has a leak which is triggering the float switch to stop a flood

Anyone any thoughts on my (the OP) problem?

my aunt had a similar problem with a bosch dishwasher and after talking to a engineer he suggest that the machine wasnt balanced properly so he told us to tild the dishwasher back at a 45 degree angle and also to put a small piece of timber at the part that seemed of balance which was the front right hand side so we did it and havent had a problem since that was 5 weeks ago

Randyleprechaun, both you and long b have the same issue, the machines are leaking through the wash pump seals which in turn is causing the float switch to stop the d/w from flooding the kitchen. if water came out from under it after tilting it and it has stopped again shortly afterwards its leaking .
