Hi guys I'm looking into trading my old car in for the above car just looking for some info and feed back on this car? My driving will mostly be town drive so I presume the 1.4 engine will suffice but just wondering what this engine is like on juice? I know somebody that had a ford focus 1.4 petrol and the car was very sluggish and heavy on petrol. I'm hoping the Kia Ceed is considerably better and also is this car reliably?

Am I right in saying the EX model come with alloys, half leather interior, arm rest, air con etc

The ceed is a lot nippier than a focus,

Ex usually has cruise, half leather etc.

40ish mpg would be easily done

Yeah the C'eed 1.4 isn't bad. It's perfectly adequate and far better then the godawful Focus 1.4

And it's been proven over time to be reliable so i'd have no issues there.

My sister has one, it's grand. A bit tinny but has been pretty reliable. The only issue has been ignition coils. Kia only replace them one by one under the warranty period. It's meant that she had dealer visits every 6 months or so when it was under warranty. The last one wasn't covered under warranty and it cost silly money from the dealer. Her car was bought at 50k km 4 years ago and it's on 63k km now and all 4 coils have been replaced in that time. Herselfs sister has one and it's the same.

I wouldn't let that put you off - an indy will do it cheaper and the car is still driveable when they go. Otherwise they've both been faultless.

Far be it from me to correct a Mod but the only cruise in the EX model is the Accelerator pedal :)

I had 2 x 2007 Ceed EX's and they are a fine car, good on petrol and quick too.

What's the good model so, GS or LS?

Remember looking at a diesel Ceed with cruise. thought it was EX but who knows!
