Any thoughts on the old '99k mileage' phenomenon? Traded in by private seller keen to not pass 100K or 'amended' to that magic figure? Thoughts on that in general?

I'm looking at a few cars but in particular a 407 Coupé. This one seems to fit the bill. http://www.carsireland.ie/detail.php?ad_id=1050149&r=s.php%3Fm%3D67%26o%3D977%26b%3D4%26g%3D0

Any ideas on a good valuation? Ran a Motorcheck but still waiting on it.

Any bets it'll have passed to 103000 when you see it!

That's not a used uk import though, so its odd that the 159321km on the clock equals exactly 99000 miles!

I'd be thinking that it could be a touch over 100,000 miles. A lot of websites allow the option to select a cut off point for mileage - and the average Mr Irish man won't go above 100k because it's high mileage like! So the seller wants to get into that bracket, getting more viewings, and explain the discrepancy later.. that's my take on it anyway.
