    Hi Lads,

    Bit of a random one...

Do you reckon an electric Drivers Side mirror from a Right Hand Drive car would be Identical to a Passenger Side mirror on a Left Hand Drive car?

(Assuming it's the same model of car of course!) :P

    Thanks

Would say yes, but the wiring might be a bit different depending on where the switch was located for the control unit.

A user on here had a LHD control unit (fitted upside down) in an RHD car so I'm sure at least some are compatible!

Not necessarily, the old W124 Mercs for example had two different size mirrors (the passenger side one being smaller)

    Hmm, true.

This is for a Ford Focus so a little less quirky :)

The wing mirrors look identical and theoretically should fit.

    Yep, thats exactly my concern

Being electric, on a RHD car it would be the master wing mirror which controls both sides, but on the LHD car it would be the passenger side mirror without the control unit, so I'm just wondering if block connectors would be different?

    No, they're not the same.

    Angles are different.

They'll fit in most cases alright, but proper view couldn't be set.

Hmm, I guess a bit of black tape will have to do the job then! :)

    Black tape for what?

To keep the current mirror which I was planning on replacing secure!
