Tantastic tactics

I know there are lots of threads on here about self tan, so thanks for indulging.

I've never done my own fake tan before, always gotten spray tans. But I'm getting married overseas on a Saturday, flying out on the Thursday, so I don't think I'll be able to get a spray tan before I leave (from the Wednesday it would have faded too much already by Saturday, I think...)

From what I've read, Tantastic sounds like the most idiot proof option for someone like me who has never done this before and is afraid of streaks. Would you suggest I do the Tantastic on the Thursday night, and leave it on overnight? (this is what I'd be doing if I could get a spray tan).

Also, I'm heading off on my honeymoon on the Tuesday, so likely hitting the pool on Wednesday. I'd like the tan to have faded off enough by then that it won't get streaky in the pool.

Previous Tantastic-tanners: do you think Thurs night application and sleep in it is the way to go? Any other tips for how best I should use it?

I wouldn't advise using tantastic, I used it before and it was so orange. Cocoa Brown might be a better option. I have gotten spray tans before that lasted 8 days so I actually think getting it done on the wed would be fine. Just moisturise twice a day and you could use a gradual moisturiser after a few days to keep the colour topped up

oh god no its the worst stuff I have ever used! Its bright orange, streaked like hell and left the bed sheets bright orange - I threw it out! it would destroy your clothes too I reckon

Try cocoa brown or St moritz instead. Personally cocoa brown does nothing for me as its way too pale but loads of people love it. St Moritz and st tropez (lot dearer) are very good. Try a trial run before hand, use a mitt, moisturoise elbows/knees first etc

to be honest what I would do is get the spray tan done before you go, exfoliate well before hand so it goes on well and then top it up the day before the wedding with dove summer glow gradual tanner
