Dacia Cars???

Currently have an 11 year old Almera with about 145k miles on the clock, needs 4 new tyres and making a bit of a racket so was thinking of trading up. Hope to have a budget of about €14k on top of whatever few quid I would get for Almera.
Thinking of going for diesel as do approx 20,000 miles annually. Had a look at the Dacia Logan MCV or Duster but don't know anyone who has a Dacia, are they reliable, good value, safe?
Any other suggestions for reasonably new car (2011 on), have 3 kids so need a decent size boot so maybe an estate. Would love a 7 seater but think that's out of my price range. Really haven't a clue about cars so would appreciate some advice. Thanks.

Dacia is Renault's budget brand similar to how Skoda were at one stage under VW. Diesel engine would be the same unit found in various Renaults and Nissans, build quality on Dacias is patchy though as they are built to a budget.

My advice is take one for a good test drive and see if you like it.

I know someone with a Duster, she came to it via an old S Class, she recommends it, I had a look but just couldn't pull the trigger on buying one. A lot of car for pittance really.

Thanks for replies, might look into taking one for a test drive this weekend and see how it goes. I'm really haven't a clue and got badly stung a few years back with a car that seemed great but turned into a huge money pit. Will look at the other thread.

Do a search for other threads too. I have to say their jeeps really look the part, solid machines.

Their estate car looks grand too, although it would need nice wheels and plenty of spec as well.

Perhaps they will become the Skoda/Kia or the future, once ridiculed but then accepted.
