    So can someone clarify.

If a guard gets you with a speedgun (he was standing in corner of busstop on N11 near blackrock on his own, bike parked out of sight) do they have to then stop you, ie can you get done for speeding based on a speedgun alone? Got mixed answers on this on weekend. I was only doing about 65 or so..raod was empty but a 60 limit :(

I think a gatso got me on N7 too..it was parked on the inside hard shoulder, I was in outside lane doing 110km..saw it too late. All three lanes busyish. So I guess still could be got here too, or too much happening might be ok? :D

This could have been a bad weekend for science :(

in all probability you weren't speeding in either case. Speedos are often up to 10% over-reading.

They would have to stop you if they use a hand-held gun afaik

Cheers tina..I reckoned the latter with the portable gun, but my brother insisted that all they needed was that..I was sure they needed to stop you with them. Sure will see how it pans out...

I asked a Guard and was told it's considered bad form to do you without pulling you over. He said it's very rare for it to happen.

Yeah i'd say the Guards sitting in the camera vans are racked with guilt :D

    Different scenario to be fair.

What if you sped up on an orange light to beat the red? Can you get done for that without being pulled over.
