DPC short over window head

I had a look over my build at the weekend and noticed that on some windows the DPC at window head is short of the external wall, so it can't possibly overlap the top of the window. Is this easily fixable using bituminous tape to attach a wider strip of DPC or is there a more preferred approach? Just want to know before I…
