I was thinking of participating in the championship next year, but workwise it can be quite complicated, so I'd need to book my holidays well in advance.

Does anyone know how far in advance the dates are announced?

This year's was announced in late April or early May but I don't know if that's normal or not. I think the championships are usually the second week in July though.

I've been informed by the nice man at the ICU that it will most likely be from the 4th to the 12th of July.

As far as I'm aware, it occurs on the 2nd week of July?

So it would be the 3rd to the 12th of July.

I've just checked the message the ICU guy sent me, he says 4th to 12th of July 2015, which, if the current formula of playing 9 rounds in 9 consecutive days is followed, makes sense.

Ah I reread your comment and you meant the main event. As I never really play the Main event in the Irish Championships I thought you meant the entire event.

So yeah the dates the guy in the ICU said to you would be accurate!
