Blonde query

Hello, so I've been getting highlights for 10+ years, never a full colour as I'm told highlights are better for your hair. I'm very blonde at this stage, esp when I first get it done (id say gweneth Paltrow blonde) but my problem is with the under bits of my hair. I always ask for a full head of highlights any time i go and I know my hairdresser does this as I can see her doing it, but I don't know if she puts as much effort into the bottom bits as she does the rest of my hair. I never really noticed this until I saw a picture of my head from the back recently and the brown bits under my ponytail looked awful. I'm a bridesmaid next month and will be getting an up style so I really don't want these awful brown bits on show. How can I tell my hairdresser to do this part properly? Or is this just how it looks on everyone when it's tied up?? I can't change hairdressers as I really like this one (apart from this problem) and she's based across the road from me which is really handy. Any advice on what to say next time I'm in there in about two weeks time?

I used to have this problem myself. Applying a full colour to the roots is far less harsh than highlighting this is what my hairdresser has told me anyway. I get this done every 6 weeks & include a few highlights, leaving them out on the next visit, and then doing them again to give the hair a bit of a break. If you do this overtime the issue with the brown bits should clear up. Blonde problems we've all been there :) As you need this done quickly I would advise you to just tell your hairdresser that as you want an upstyle for the wedding you'd like the under to be coloured to avoid any brown bits, should be no problem. You pay her it's her job to give you what you want
