Looking for advice on a smartwatch

Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the right forum(if not mods please feel free to move it where ever best suits)

My tech mad hubby is turning 40 soon and he's one of these very hard to buy for people! Doesn't care for jewellery, likes to buy his own clothes, but does like gadgets so I thought of a smart watch. He has an S4 phone so I originally thought a Samsung gear but the pebble smart watch seems to be getting better reviews.

Looking for any advice as which to get or even suggestions for another smart watch. Can these be bought in phone shops, jewelers or will I get a better deal online?

    Thanks in advance.

It's early days for this tech. Most of us tech heads have not bothered with them yet as they are not great. Also note that Samsung have dropped Android on their latest ones in favour of their own Tizen software and are only compatible with Samsung phones

Motorola's Moto 360 and LG's G Watch are to be announced at Google I/O later this month.

Thanks for replying, I did a bit of research myself and think I'll scratch that idea.
