I have ordered a rig from them this morning and payed via Paypal, no problems here. I was specifically choosing products with a nice, green 'Ready to dispatch' icon. An hour later an e-mail arrives, stating that 2 components are not available and they don't know when they will arrive, so might be up to 2 weeks. They still light up as available on their website, but w/e.

I've sent an e-mail with my replacement candidates, but still no reply. They're not very snappy, nor professional in my experience. Seems I need to prepare for a long wait... eh.

How are your experiences with them? Their prices are hard to beat, I have to agree, but I'm already biased against buying anything there in the future.

After ordering off them three times, i've never run into much trouble to be honest. I've been lucky and haven't had anything go out of stock as I ordered though so never had to deal with that. Also never had to return anything.

Translation might be an issue, i've seen a few threads about issues, a lot boiled down to English :/
Try giving them a call. I don't know what it is off-hand but check their contact details or search this forum, it's here somewhere. Ask for an english speaking operator. Bit late today to do that though.

Email is not the way to go with them for customer service, rather, it should be done by phone. I have ordered from them 4 times over the last 3 years (each relatively large orders) and never had a problem.

Ordered from them twice, both over 500€ orders and both were fast delivery. Returned a 400€ graphics card the second time, they sent no emails telling me where it was until it arrived in Parcel Motel. They took it back and replaced it no questions asked, however.

Their communication is awful via email, but their prices are great and they're good for returns from my experience.

A bunch of ignorant gobshytes that I'll never use again. Motherboard arrives on the bottom of a box with no bubble wrap or anything around the base. It turns out the motherboard is faulty and I return it. The motherboard is put back inside its box. The box is encased in bubble wrap, and the bubble wrap is surrounded with extra cardboard layers.

Suddenly the motherboard is returned to me with bent socket pins:confused: I have no doubt some bollocks in Germany bent the socket pins. But unfortunately, I can't prove it and I'm €260 out of pocket. So my advice to anyone who is returning anything to them. Video record everything.

Are they that much cheaper than places in the UK?

They have good prices. That is true and then Geizhals.de.

But its a risk using them make no mistake about that. I advise only using them if you are on a really tight budget. Hwvs Customer service sucks balls.

I've been toying with a build for the last few weeks, just as a sample few parts (don't take this as a finished build there'll probably be less case and more SSD):

    Item|Price
Corsair Obsidian Serie 750D, eATX, ohne Netzteil|€130.90
    MSI Z97-G45 GAMING, Sockel 1150, ATX|€121.57
    Intel Core i7-4770K Box, LGA1150|€275.00
    Corsair Hydro Series H100i|€92.72
    BenQ GL2460HM|€137.27
    2 x 8GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance Low Profile schwarz PC3-12800U CL9|€139.28
    WD Blue 1TB 6Gb's|€46.37
    MSI N760 TwinFrozr 2GD5/OC, 2GB DDR5|€214.59
Corsair CS Series Modular CS550M 550W ATX 2.3|€67.44
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€1244.13

The same parts at Scan.co.uk are €1,375 delivered. It's a saving, and a big enough one.

I've only ordered with them once and it took a while but no problems, this was about six years ago. I can't use paypal with them now; apparently because of an address mismatch, even though they say the option should be "faded out" where for me the option to use paypal simply isn't seen at all.

I'm still in two minds as to whether all this means I won't use them again when I eventually materialise the cash for my new machine.

Overkill alarm bells ringing :P Do you need that much RAM? Board is for the new chips AFAIK, you want a Z87 board. Could be wrong there though. I woukd prefer an Asus or Gigaybte board too. The MSI VRMs get a bit hot, just poor design really. Abd you're obviously going to be overclocking with that chip.

By the way, why not just grab a high quality air cooler for 50 euro~? You will get equivalent performance to thst water cooler for half the price?

Oh and is this a gaming computer? If so I'd drop the i7 for an i5 and grab a much better gpu, either a 290 or a 780.

No Problems with them at all , I've built 2 of my own systems and 4 others when a motherboard i got was DOA I called them , sent it back and got a replacement one.

I've also ordered Laptops and a 42" Tv from them about 6 years ago again without issue.

Definately not gonna deal with them again. 2 more e-mails and 30 hours later still not a single reply. I'm probably gonna end up cancelling this order and buying somewhere else. I think times where e-mail was a novelty are long gone.

I had a great experience with them and they have the best prices around. I'll buy from them again when it comes to it. When I had to email them I put a google translated version underneath my text, and it was replied to very quickly. It's like they have a few lads there who speak english, and anything in english is just forwarded onto them, and dealt with when they have the chance.

Only bought once from them, about 5 years ago now. I would need to be reassured that they've improved before ordering from them again - all my parts were placed loose in one larger box for shipping, with no packing materials. Very annoying considering there were a few OEM parts which just came in anti-static bags.

The outer carton itself was also damaged enough so that something could have been stolen/fallen out, though that might have happened in transit.

Multiple people have said to call them. I imagine the amount of emails they get is staggering ,they are also a german company , did you send your email in german or expect the person there to also read and write fluent english?

I use aria.co.uk and found them quick and decent prices. However i never had to do a RMA so I dont know if they are good at that or not.
You can sometimes get good prices from amazon, always worth having a look there.

    try eclipse computers as well....

Aria have good prices but anyone I've asked has told me not to buy from them due to horrid customer service.

spending 1200 euros? too fecking right they should reply in good time (not expecting instant reply, but 3 days???!??)

Learning a foreign language is compulsory throughout Germany in secondary schools and often this language is English.

See, everyone will have a horror story about one or another company....even amazon. Just recently on here there were scare stories about scan and some other company.

To be fair, no company is ever going to rob you. You can take action on that stuff as it's against the 1978 Consumer Act. They're not purposely ignoring your emails. Did you put your ticket number in the heading? Did you get a confirmation email? Did you try to call them? Don't call the company bad before actually doing the steps you're supposed to.

I don't feel like I'm supposed to call anybody. I've made countless online purchases and didn't have to call anyone once. Sellers that sell their products online are supposed to be available for contact online.

They have 4 contact e-mails, I've e-mailed 3 of them (except webmaster), quoting my order number in each of them. I think I have taken all the steps 'necessary' in this situation.

And yes, I'm reluctant to give them a call, since they're not native english speakers and neither am I, so I'm afraid this might lead to them sending me a fridge instead of computer parts.

All in all, I've cancelled my order, gonna pay 50e more somewhere else. If there weren't any parts missing I think this could have been smooth, but then it's also their fault cause they came up as ready to dispatch (still do heh)

They've got a few English speakers who work for them. They spend their time manning the phones for people who call and only have english. So your email will wait while they deal with people real-time over the phone. If you translate your email to german and include both that version and the english version, chances are the first person to read it will just reply and give you the same courtesy of doing google translate on it.

Seeing as you paid by paypal and will have an extra 7% charge, it probably isn't worth your while to use them anymore, since they've only really got about a 10% price advantage over the other companies like aria or dabs.

Edit: I see you cancelled your order in the time I was writing this. so my post makes even more sense now!

That may be allot of money to you , to them maybe not , it's all relative . Again you're presuming that whoever got your email is a german national and has gone through the german education system ..and has done english...and still knows how to speak it..

I know I'm playing devils advocate here but if you were working for an irish company and got an email in german and didnt speak german yourself... You'd probably pass it along to the guy in the office who does.

1200€ is allot of money , so why not call them? It'd be the first thing I'd do.
And it is what I'd advise others to do if they need to RMA or enquire.
