    Is Transmission Oil generic?

Would this do an A4 1.6 manual?

Cant post link but search Amazon.co.uk for MT90.

    Thanks

Some oils are lighter than others. What you specified there is 75w90.... Haven't a clue what oil it's meant to take though

Assuming manual transmission then 75W90 synthetic is the correct gearbox oil for an A4 1.6.

IME, the VW gear oil works better than generic 75W90. Smoother shifting and quieter running. YMMV

VW OEM oils are made by Fuchs.

Fuchs Titan Sintopoid 75w90 is the one. :)
