    Hello.
Just bought a laptop today. A hp pavillion notebook. Serial number. 15-n229sa. It has a 1tb hard drive. Amd quad core a10 processor. Radeon graphics. Will this machine handle C.A.D. easily along with inventor. Will graphics be ok? will a10 processor be ok? Have i bought the wrong machine?

    Thanks everybody

I mean its a bit late to ask, isn't it?

The laptop will run CAD and Inventor. Compared to laptops catered to the task (with either AMD Firepro or Nvidia Quadro GPUs) you will notice big contrasts in performance, but on it's own you can get by.

I ran Solidworks on an Intel HD GPU from an i5 and it was certainly usable, the only trouble I ever have is when it tries to highlight a complicated Helix or something. Sitting next to other people using actual workbooks though, they ran a lot smoother and with more aesthetic display features enabled. Enough to be envious of, but not enough to shell out more money for.
