Some of the sales stalls knew how to charge.

no wonder when a stall in the main tent cost €140!

It was the autojumble/tat section I had a beef with. Bought a couple of wee oil filter gaskets for 15, discovered I could get the exact same online for about £5 or £6. Never again.

you found something worth buying!!!!! A skip would be too good for most of the broken crap on sale. I found an indicator unit for my transit...it was more broken than the one I already have. What's the point? Noone will ever buy it

I was refused entry to the exhibitors car park yesterday.I was returning after bringing a driver home. I think the Innishannon organisers are dropping exhibitors down their priority list. There was plenty room and field conditions were dry.Another Exhibitor who had brought her caravan early to get a level site for an elderly relative was shown to the steep hill while the area behind the Music Stage was empty. She fought her case and they eventually relented.Very aggressive stewards dont do much for any event. I understand they are unpaid volunteers for one of our large charities that could do without any more bad publicity.

I generally find the bigger the show, the more anal the stewards get.

Had no probs getting in as a (pre phoned in) latecomer, haven't been in years. The obligatory free 'hang sangwich and tay' seemed to be dropped.
The stars of the show seem to be the steam engines and their owners, the rest that show up are just plebs.

Ah the Stewards, wasn't going to mention them, but there were a couple of them on the gate when I arrived, who were very aggressive and excitable.

This was before 11am and it was very quiet...didn't stop them yelling and gesticulating at me to "form another row"...I was just following my leader, I'm not clairvoyant!

They don't like the cars much there I agree. Two tiny cramped areas and they blocked everyone in, leaving no access routes. I specifically said I might have to leave early and asked to be parked where I could get out and they still blocked me in. Haven't been there for years....might be a few more years before I'll go again!

Well, I spent most of Sunday in the home place, about 4 miles in a straight line from the showgrounds and I didn't go. The Escort was also in the home place (washed and polished) and given past experiences I decided to remain where I was, tae in the hand......

..and what is it with all the ropes? grand , mark out the various areas, but once everyone was in, a lot of the ropes could and should have been done away with the ease access for visitors walking round. They could easily have left gaps every now an then right from the start to allow people to move around without ducking under ropes all the time.

Yes it was a bit of a cat's cradle! Trying to get from one side of the field to the other was a dose. Really they should only need to be around the working exhibits from start to finish.
