Buyer beware when buying a car privately or from a second hand car lot.

Years of rogue traders make everyone nervous when buying a second hand car.

Yes beware of the sales guy in the shinny suit talking through his ass!

He just wants to make his sale and get your cash , then hurry you out the door with whatever garbage he wants rid of.

Do not be taken in by sales monkey gibberish. he is hopping to tell you what he thinks you want to hear. Furthermore you are probably delaying him from his lunch of cod and chips in the Sales Office.

Customer is king! Bring along a qualified mechanic to check the car out, and check all the paperwork. If it does not stack up walk away.

It is your money, so negotiate a good price, warranty and NCT.

Remember at all times Buyer Beware!

Someone on another thread said that the trade Centre you mention is an offloading partner for another retail outlet.
You would therefore assume that the trade Centre is where the stuff they don't wish to retail / guarantee is sent to sell off at trade rates

What an exceptionally insulting and condescending post. I don't disagree there are bad eggs out there but it is hugely unfair to tar all used car dealers with that brush. There are plenty of honest, hard working and decent garage men out there doing there best to earn a crust as best they can without resorting to sly and underhand tactics.

indeed but most of them are shady scumbags, regarding the kylemore trade centre, i haven't heard of anyone complain about them but if checking out a car here bring along a qualified mechanic and give the car a thorough inspection
