I know the Carer's Respite Grant is due to be paid this Thursday.
Just wondering if it's being paid into bank accounts? It was last year but is this the norm now?

if your Carer's Allowance/Benefit is paid into your bank account, your respite grant will be also.

Yes it is paid in my bank account but they always posted the Respite Grant via cheque. Last year they didn't and it was put in my bank account instead.
Just wondered if that was a one-off or if that's how they're doing it from now on.

We've always got it straight into the bank. No confirmation letter this year unlike previous years. Payment due on Thursday!

Mine was paid through my bank account on Thursday 5th June.
If you haven't received yours, get on to the Carer's Allowance department asap.

Just called them. They received me application on March 18 and haven't processed It yet so it's awaiting a decision and they're only starting on applications from the first week of March, today.
I had heard that section is woefully understaffed. I believe it now.

There were 5 staff on duty one day when I rang last week.

You'd think it would be more. Ah well. May as well forget about this until I get the decision letter.
