Oil change interval 2012 Megane?

    Hi how many ks between oil and filter changes on a 2012 renault megane thanks

    The official Renault interval is 30,000km but I would recommend half that.

    They take a very particular oil as well which isn't widely available. It is a 5W30 C4 spec oil which meets Renault oil standard RN0720. Most oils you will find are C3 spec meeting RN0710 so be careful.

    Thanks I have 13000 k untill next service I just wondered as oil was dark in the dipstick. Just bought the car so I might change it sooner rather than later to be sure

    If the car is diesel then that is normal, oil goes dark in colour almost instantly when changed. When was the last time the oil/filters were changed?

    Oil goes dark quickly in all cars.
    As you just bought it I'd change it this summer just so you know it has been done.

    17000 k s ago going by the dash board reading.

    30k to me fore car any car for that matter seems very high as an interval.

    Yea thats why I asked I use to do my 98 megane each 7000 miles whit synthetic oil

    I woulod suggest above around 15k that would seem a lot better.

    If it's a diesel then I would definitely cahnge more often.

    Some wouldn't even bother so best check.
    Usually they put a sticker on windscreen.
