Making a film, working title is Gone Coastal.

Sometime before the bad weather comes back I'll cycle around the island by beach or as near to as possible.
I aim to film 100 percent of the trip POV and loop back with better filming gear to points of interest, even get some aerial footage.

Looking for help of all kinds, will camp some evenings but will need a base every 2nd day to recharge batteries, get showered and fed.

All types of collaboration needed, live events, best scenery, local knowledge, arts and crafts, trades, music, quirky stuff.

    Thanks

Do you realise the distance around the coastline?

Myself and club mates were going to organise a donegal coastline cycle but when I worked out routes (following coastline) it was too long and so we decided to do Mizen to Malin instead as it was more straight forward and shorter. (The Inishowen peninsula is over 160km on it's own)

The entire irish coast will take you anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks when you consider the jagged nature of Northern part of Ireland, the west and south west.

Best of luck with it though, I'd love to have the time to do something like it.

Best of luck with this. Any idea what % of this trip will be off road? And what's with drilling the rims, weight saving or something.

yeah drilled rims are meant to save something like 300g per wheel, I set them up tubeless too as the stock tubes are .5kg. Think the off road portion will only be about 20%, there's a ton of beach on the east coast, the tidal areas I'm not venturing into as it's a question of timing and safety.

When it's behind you on a beach you just don't need to pedal but headwinds feel like hills. Was toying with kite propulsion.
