Just go hold of the Topher Grace version of the first three Star Wars movies. He edited 6 hours down to 85 minutes & it's magnificent.

Trailer is here for those interested

Rumour is that it'll be screened at comic com this year with a limited cinema release at the end of the year in anticipation of the new movie next year.

Although I've seen a very low quality web rip, this is one I'd love to see on the big screen. Would love to see what he'd do with the original trilogy.

Who the fcuk is Topher Grace when he's at home.

    Google?

He was Eric in That 70s Show and Peter Parker's nemesis in Spiderman 3...

Good to see he's found the inception button in his editing software.

There's a much easier way to edit them down to six hours.

    Just leave out Episode I

Really , it's mostly a steaming pile of poo.

As some commenters have pointed out, there is still a place to watch Episode I with this order. The ideal place is after the “main saga” of IV, V, II, II, VI is complete. Not immediately after, but like “okay, Star Wars is over, but there’s some other stuff you can watch that takes place in the same galaxy with some of the same people.”

I remember going to see Episode three in the cinema when I was 9 and I fell asleep. Never watched anything Star Wars related since.

I always thought Return of the Jedi should have been told in a Godfather Part II style. After we are told Vader is Luke's father is the perfect time to parallel both stories. Giving a perfect arc in just one movie to the character of Darth Vader and introducing the main bad guy, the Emperor, not just as "he is creepy" but "he is creepy, and this is what he did" .

It would have been an awesome way to go, right after Empire Strikes Back, the movie opens with a flashback of a young Obi Wan finding Anakin on Tatooine.

Would have also cut the need for three prequels centered on one vastly overblown character due to pop culture love of him, Darth Vader.

Yet Lucas showed little glimpses of hope here and there in Episode III
