Heel who acts like a face to the extent the fans boo him.

A handy clue always comes from who he is matched against; he's been up against Cara and Kofi, the face jobbers :)

There were crickets heard when he came out!

He is essentially working the conceited heel gimmick that Kurt Angle debuted in the WWF with in 1999 - he thinks he is great but people are supposed to hate him. Afaik it came about in NXT organically so he'll have a tough time getting over on Raw.

Much like Emma. Just because it works in front of the couple hundred that go to NXT every week doesnt mean it will work in front of thousands of different people every week. Wonder how many more gimmicks will have to bomb before they figure it out? :pac:

It's also how they are booked on Raw. Look at the reaction Big E got at Takeover and look at the reactions he gets on Raw where he's the victim of the stop-start push, he hasn't been book strong enough so he's just coasting now.

I love the gimmick and think he's done well so far. (never seen him on NXT)

Its not just the small crowd, it's the fact that the small crowd have seen the gimmick grow organically, while the bigger crowds just have it thrust upon them.

(Think I used this metaphor before but) it's like showing a small crowd the first 30 minutes of a film and they enjoy it, and then letting everyone else pick up without giving them a clue what's happened thus far. Of course everyone else will be slow on the uptake at best, completly perplexed at worst...

But given that the Raw crowd changes every week it's hard to get any gimmick over other than the most simplistic at first. People have to be given time to see it develop on TV over a number of weeks and then react to it. That's assuming the powers that be keep patience with it.

Absolutely. I think its brilliant, I haven't seen an awful lot of him in the ring but I'm most certainly a boliever. It'll be interesting to see where WWE slot him in.

He's pretty good in ring and his really cheesey promos will just p*ss people off. And that's the whole point. Like a lot of people on some of the facebook groups hated his pre-debut vigenettes and I was like "that's the point! You're supposed to hate him!". I'm also a boliever!

will they tag him with his real life brother bray wyatt or even put him in a storyline with him.

The smirk on his face is fairly irratating but it works

i like his gimmick and especially love the victory lap around the ring! I hope they keep giving him time to develop further

It's the Kurt heel gimmick alright, think it'll go well for him if he gets the bit of mic time the character needs to get over and one or two solid feuds with a face, but there's ****all decent mid-card faces right now.
I was gonna say tomorrow would be the perfect crowd for him as they're "smart" and will "get" the gimmick, but they could just as easily end up cheering for him. It'd be great if they could move some of the Punk heat onto him tomorrow, teasing something and having him as the payoff, probably a bit too early for him though.I can see them going for that with Barrett though,a good few were on about it here after Heyman in Chicago last time and it definitely still has legs,RVD would get a decent pop then as well.

I definitely think that gimmick will go stale before the end of the summer, he'll be taken off TV and repackaged to team up with his brother.

I've said before but for a cult leader, Bray needs to actually start brainwashing people. Bo would be a good target in that regard.

I think its a great gimmick and Bo played it really well on NXT, to me he is like a version of John Cena

I think he's great. A proper heel gimmick and he's actually good in the ring. Hope he goes far.

I really think this gimmick could work better than the Wyatt's if Bo became a leader of a cult of Bolivers.

Getting the likes of Kofi, Ziggler, Miz, Sandow etc to join him because no one else in the WWE Bolives in them.
