Antique jewelry shops similar to Powerscourt Town House

    Hi

I am currently shopping around for a piece of art deco jewelry for a gift. (Budget is about 2000 euros.) I have seen several possible candidates in the row of antique jewelry shops on the 2nd floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre & on nearby Clarendon St/Johnson Lane. While the selections there are truly massive, I am concerned that the prices may be inflated due to the shops location in D2, just off Grafton St. So I am casting my net further afield, to see if I can get more bang for my buck elsewhere.

So is there anywhere else that would be good to check out...say within an hours drive of Dublin? Ideally, it would be great if there were a cluster of antique/jewelry shops or a market in one area, as opposed to random shops in the odd town here and there. I'll be in Belfast next week. Is there a specific area there that would be worth checking out, that has a cluster of these kind of shops the way that Dublin has. Thanks.

I think you will struggle ProudDub to be honest.

You could try Breretons on Capel Street or Sean McManus in Dun Laoghaire. Other than that, the antiques shops on Francis Street - although they haven't a huge amount of jewellery you might get lucky.

Don't know anything about Belfast TBH.
