Second car insurance

    Hi
    Quick question on multi car insurance. Currently have commercial insurance on a jeep. Wife has insurance on car. Been offered a free car.
    This would be used as occasional commuter car to save diesel when not using jeep.
    What's best way to insure it? Put in my name as second car or add to wife's insurance?
    Any ideas?

    Your wife will need to try to mirror her NCD onto the car, I don't think you can mirror your commercial NCD to private, and put you as a named driver.

    Then after a few years swap the policy to your name, if you can keep the bonus. I know some couples with only one car who swap the policy every 2 years so both maintain a full NCD.
