Child Leap not working?

    Hiya, query on this.

    A kid in my family has a child leap for getting to and from school.

    About a week ago, it stopped working. Wouldn't read, wouldn't tell her balance, nothing. She has over 11 euro on it.

    The first time it happened, she had no cash with her (she's not given money for school, she brings a packed lunch) and because she couldn't pay, she was told to get off the bus, which resulted in her walking and being late for school. Since then, she's tried it a few times, but made sure to have cash with her, and it hasn't worked once.

    Anybody know why it wouldn't work? The card itself is only a few months old and in perfect nick.

    Any ideas would be great, or even any information on who to query this with?

    It sounds like the chip has died which is very unusual. Contact Leapcard support (the number is on the card) and ask about a replacement. If the card is registered, you can recover the unused travel credit.
