Very very expensive. The only place I've been to that makes Dublin feel cheap.

Id agree there 10 euros for a beer a Mc Donalds costs double what it costs here too.

Been to Copenhagen a few times now and love it. Yes it's expensive but if you use your cop on you can do it on the cheap like everywhere else.

Lots of immigration in Denmark so now you have cheap good quality ethnic restaurants like the wonderful Ankara in Vesterbro. Drinking on the street from supermarket bought cans seems pretty acceptable and lots of people will choose to do that to keep spending down. I find the Danes - in Copenhagen anyway - to be a lovely chilled out people. The Swedes come accross to Copenhagen for cheap beer so there's one place that's dearer :)
Haven't been to Roskilde but it looks like an amazing festival from reports. I assume you can bring your own supermarket beer there, the same as Electric Picnic so Bar prices wouldn't be an issue.

I would do a bit more research before writing it off.

You can get cheap booze in Aldi in Denmark, it is expensive generally though.
