Does anyone have any experiences with D1 Kitchens in Dublin 11?

I am seriously considering going with them due to the great interaction, amount of time spent, consideration given, advice given, drawings done to my specs and all the changing of minds and general messing-around by us.

Are they too good to be true? Am i missing something????

Have you had a bad experience?

    Thanks.

Dis you go with them in the end? What did you think? I have a design appointment tomorrow and would be interested in hearing your experience.

    Hi,

Not yet. I have the design etc done. Will be going ahead with D1 Kitchens in the next 2 months as the whole consultation process was better than Concept Kitchens and cheaper than many of the half dozen other quotes i received.

Let me know how it all went.

Interestingly, there was another thread about "Concept kitchens" which i was following where someone contributed about a bad experience and things just went from bad to worse.

However, that entire thread was removed by Boards.ie, including my own comments.

According to my wife, the training company she worked for was also aggressive in getting negative comments deleted from boards as well.

So much for freedom of expression.

They should make their policy clear in this regard.

But D1 have been great so far.

    Thanks.

Hi, wondering if you went ahead with your kitchen and if so how you got on?

Interesting comments about concept, I couldn't find any reviews on them which I though was strange, now I know why!

    Thanks for any info.

Yes. I did go ahead with D1 Kitchens.
And i can wholeheartedly recommend them.

From a sales perspective, they made us feel at ease with no pressure whatsoever. Just go in, discuss things, take your time and no pressure. No return sales calls to push us or anything.

Pricing was competitive compared to the dozen other companies i got quotes from.

From a design perspective, it helps if you know what you want and to be firm if there is something that you insist on.

In terms of design, i went with something modern that i had in mind and drew out initially so i knew what i wanted.

Installation took a couple of days and went smoothly. A few minor problems through no fault of their own and they dealt with them as soon as i mentioned them.

A family run business that i have no problem recommending.
They should be on an episode of the new series of the room to improve show as well, if i'm not mistaken.

Kitchen now all in and not only are we blown away by it but also everyone else that has seen the before and after.

I have some before and after photos that i can PM you a link to if interested..
