Hi all. I have a road trip to France coming up in 5 weeks and will be doing approx 3k km. I have 2 tyres which are probably due a change. Should I be thinking about getting them as soon as possible? Do you need to 'wear' new tyres in gradually or will an 800km journey be ok on a brand new tyre? Thanks

Change them now and take it handy for the first hundred km, this will make sure that the releasing agents are worn off so you are gripping the road with rubber not soap.

If in doubt, change those tyres. No point risking your car/life over a few tyres, especially that far away from home

Would the Uniroyal rainsport 3 tyre be any good?

They are a good tyre yes. Good value also.

Grand so, that's good enough for me. 2 for 250.
