For Sale: Mavic Ksyrium SL Premium wheelset, 2010. Campagnolo freehub. Novatec steel skewers from a different wheelset (hardly used). Mavic spoke adjustment tool.

Reason for Sale: Decided to get another set of Wheelsmith wheels, easier to maintain and to be honest I've a budget set and a set for racing, I don't need a set in between. Surplus to requirements.

    Price: €300 (No offers)

    Collection only from Dublin 4.

Bought in 2010, I presume they are model year 2009.

Pretty much identical to the Ksyrium SL except these came with titanium skewers. I sold the skewers because the plastic lever on them rattled like mad, not something I'd tolerate on a set of 800 euro wheels.

In terms of wear, I can't put an exact number of kilometres on them, though they had a year of use (races and sportives only) between 2010 and 2011. Then I was away for the year so they sat unused in their wheel bags. Between 2012 and now they've been used for more sportives, and the odd bit of good weather.

There are some peeling stickers, nicks to spokes etc. but as can be seen from the photos, these wheels are in excellent condition. The front bearings are showing a bit of wear, I wouldn't hazard to guess how many kilometres are left, but I'd replace sooner rather than later.

I've checked Strava, which is incomplete, but I'd be surprised if these have seen anywhere near 2000 km. You can see that from the condition.

    Offer accepted subject to conditions.

Freehub swap is a 5 minute job. In fact, I think I originally bought these when I had an Ultegra setup then bought a campagnolo freehub from here.

You can get them on CRC for 45 euro and there is normally a market on here for them, so you could sell the Campagnolo one here or maybe find someone wanting to swap.

There isn't much wear on the one fitted, there is a nylon bushing that wears away and can't be replaced so they are almost like consumable parts. Make sure if you do swap that it's in good condition!
