They beat the Philippines 1-0 in the AFC Challenge Cup final this evening, their first ever title. They have secured qualification for the AFC Asian Cup in Australia this January.

Their league only turned professional 3 years ago. Before that is was amateur and all but 3 or 4 of their players still play in the country.

Imagine a game against Isreal... I'd say Isreal would dominate possession...

    Why ?

Because it is the first thing they have ever won, and with all the sh*t they have to go through they deserve a pat on the back for qualifying for a major tournament IMO.

Long periods camped in the opposition half with occasional counter attacks from Palestine.

So would they eventually play in European qualifying tournaments like their friendly neighbours. Might not be that far away, if Gibraltar are getting a crack at it.

Palestine play through a loan striker into Israeli half to be completely taken out by their centre halves, ref plays on...

Israel forcefully removes the Palestinian midfield from the pitch and subs in their own players. Ref turns a blind eye :(.

Israeli striker through on goal, palastinian defender kicks him in the face and clears the ball. Israeli player gets blamed. :-)

Palestine and Israel meet in Play-off for WC. First leg played in Israel. Second leg cannot be played as Palestine's stadium is demolished and houses built on it.

Probably occupy the Palestinian half for most of the game with a lot of offsides and professional fouls taking out key players on the Palestinian side.

    Damnit, beaten to it!

Considering that 30% of their population are de facto banned from representing them due to living in the world's largest open air prison and the other 70% of their population lives under illegal apartheid military occupation, this is a massive achievement.

    Reality:

Israeli and Palestinian player have a tussle in the box. Israeli throws a punch, Palestinian throws one back. Ref tells the Israeli to calm down or next time it's a booking, Palestinian player is sent off and given a lifetime ban with no appeal.

    Oh God all mighty.

The LOI whinge brigade even manage to have a gripe during a light hearted thread about Palestine.

    Get a life.

No they'd play against other Middle Eastern teams. Israel play in Europe because pretty much every other team they'd face in qualification wants to wipe them off the map. Ya know because of all the illegal occupation and the apartheid thing.

Then the Palestinian suicide bombers planted in the Israeli fans, detonate their suicide vests, but every quasi-liberal in Europe ignore the fact that's there árseholes on both sides because they are bigoted.

You are calling me bigoted because I don't support an illegal military occupation, human rights abuses, war crimes and apartheid.
    Makes perfect sense.

    Direct reply to an accusation.

If someone is going to call people bigots then they should be called on it.
