    Hi all,
Does anybody know where the petrol tank is located on a 2006 Nissan almera. I appear to have water ingress to the car, after a rear ending, the water is pooling in the spare wheel well. I want to drill a relief hole in the well, but want to make sure the petrol tank isint located directly under the well.

    Thanks

Edit: Never mind! Removed the PVC bung in the boot and washed down with bleach (horrendous sulphur smell from all the water sitting there!)

Under spare wheel there's 2 plastic discs to allow water to drain. Keep in mind to plug hole after!

Is it really really important to put it back in again? As it's a continual leak, could I not just leave the plug out?

I've left the plug out on cars before, doesn't seem to be any ill effects (worth noting that exhaust gasses could travel into the cabin though)
