    Hi there

I am in need of some advice, I had to cancel a DOE this morning as I need to change wheels on a car, its a VW Golf 2006. I needed new tyres but couldn't find the wheel lock nut when I was in the tyre supplier.

My question is are these specific to Car companies and if they are I assume they are even specific to each year model etc?

ill take a pic and hopefully someone might offer some advice.

I am wondering can I buy a replacement one or is there a way I can take these off and just get regular wheel nuts

Looks like the genuine one. Call into vw dealer and they will have a kit with one to open them. You can order the replacement key then.

is there an option to buy these online? I am not sure I can stomach main Dealership prices!

Lock Key Number 4 is what you need (I counted 15 splines in the nut?) Part number 8D0 601 139 F 004

Thanks OSI, you seem to have experience here?

U could try beat a slightly smaller torque wrench nut over the lock nut and then loosen it. Worked for me before but dont know if you have much room to play with.
