When putting do you wear a glove or not, I find the consistency of wearing a glove throughout my round is easier but I used to take it off when on the green,
Anyone else leave it on all the time?

I haven't worn a glove in years. I think about 7/8 years ago I arrived for a round of golf and realised I'd no gloves with me. Played very well without it and haven't worn one since :D

I always have a glove in my bag but only on very rare occasions if it's raining (and even then, probably not) will I throw it on. I just think I get a lot better feel without one.

I take mine off on the green, primarily to let my hand breathe. I think it would get fairly sweaty after 4+ hours of wearing. I prefer the feel of my putter grip without the glove also, I doubt I putt any better with it off, but I still prefer the feel sans glove.

I gave up wearing a glove 2 years ago, made no difference to me

I don't wear a glove. If you get the right grip you don't need one, even in the wet. When I used to wear one I used to take it off for putting from what I remember just because I liked the feel without it for putting.

So the majority of pros don't have the said correct grip?

I take my glove off for chipping and putting.

I wore two gloves for the first time last saturday (all weather ones) and shot my best score of the year! Took them off on the greens though

I'd always assumed the reason for not wearing the glove when putting is because if you had it on there'd be more weight/emphasis on your left hand leading to more pulled putts than without it.

I don't wear it, just because taking it off is considered the normal thing to do. Sometimes I leave it on but don't really notice much of a difference.

The right grip for you. It is all about what works for you. It works for me. The multi compound golf pride grips provide great grip in the wet.

Yeah, they are great grips - have them on all my clubs. Still have to wear a glove though as my palms would be a bit sweaty especially during the summer.

Glove goes on at the 1st tee, off as I walk off 18.

take them off between shots and off for any shortgame (within 100m) shot
seems to help me focus on not bursting it

rain gloves when on stay on for everything

Nearly agree with this. Always off between shots just to relax and for when I get over my ball I get my glove on and in the frame of mind for hitting a golf shot.

I use a glove for any shot that I'm doing over a half swing which would be anything over 50yds

Chipping, short game and putting it comes off as I like to have total feel on the shot.

Each to their own though as there is no hard fast rule for this.

I mainly take it off between shots to avoid having one white hand at the end of the summer!

On for all shots except putting. Funnily enough though if I am putting a long putt from off the green I leave it on. If its raining it comes off after every shot though and then back on before the next one. I can tolerate the rain except for when I cant grip the club as a result of it.

On for every non-putt shot, off afterwards and into pocket to let both and and glove breath and as Greebo no 'white hand', if rain gloves then I never take them off as they're bas#@rds to get off.
Always have a laugh when watching the pro guys taking off their hat on 18 to shake hands and the big white patch...
