Sony phone copying SD card contents..

So every couple of days my phone copies all the music on its SD card. This can happen several times so that there ends up being multiple copies of the same tracks. I've cleared it off, formatted and then reloaded the music on to it but then a few days later it just happens again... Any ideas why and how can I fix it?
