Keep studying - the more people that are studying, the sunnier it gets for the rest of us.

    Science, b*tch.

And this is exactly why you should study. So, you don't have to listen to people moaning all the time. Motivation right there.

What subjects? :P I have genuine advice. :) :pac: What course you want?

Ohhhh I'd like advice! Geography, Chemistry, Maths, and English are all I'm actually gonna study :p

Pass Irish and French don't need any study :pac:

Computer science in UCC is the aim :)

Over 1000 posts since April 2014!!! Procrastination to the max!!!

Try doing a half an hour, take a 5 minute break, half an hour, 5 minutes break, another half an hour and then a half an hour break. See how you get on, works for me.

I am a serious procrastinator too, I feel your pain. :(

You can ask for a temporary site ban for the duration of your exams if that would help, it's doesn't go on your record.

Is that a fb tab I see open? Tut tut.

Sooo quick few questions for you:
    • How many tea breaks did you take today?
    • Is your room clean?
    • How many runs/walks have you been on today?
    • Have you tried studying outside yet?
    • Have you tried watching TV and studying at the same time?
    • Have you tried to convince your parents that you were actually doing work on the computer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,522 ✭✭✭✭Gordon

Sorry, we don't do temp bans on request anymore. Too messy to manage administratively, when all it takes is either self control or blocking the site locally. Also, why would we actively try to stop people from being here!

Cramming was actually always more effective for me.If I studied in advance, often id mix up topics and questions.

Pay attention in class and cram the crap out of it before the exam.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,374 ✭✭✭Hotale.com

    Cramming helps!! You'll do grand.

Exam papers for BIO, dude. For Geog. Get Sue Honan's revision book for Geog!!

Bit too late for the geography revision book now, I've notes done out anyway :p

How did you study geography, just reading over stuff?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,374 ✭✭✭Hotale.com

I read over it and over it, again and again! :o Got an A1!

Make up statistics, if they're plausible you'll get an SRP for it. Geog is answered poorly usually, so if you get 80 % plus you have a chance of getting an A1 due to the bell curve. ;)

    You can make up statistics!?!?

But I learned off so many sh*tty random stats!!!! D:

Same as! Write those retarded statistics on the day, seriously, you won't believe what you can remember. And then when you can't remember write what you don't know down as long as it's plausible, you'll get marks. 450 is do-able for you, I've seen your posts ;)

    My posts....? :pac:

Definitely should have booked a week off work during the LC instead of the end of June.

I still have the same repeat dream every once in awhile where I'm back in school getting ready for the Leaving Cert. Embarrassed because I'm an adult not in uniform with all the kiddies. Then I just cop that I've already done it years ago so walk out.

    Damn I have boring dreams.

There's nothing embarrassing about doing your leaving cert as an adult.
I did mine when I was 30, (sat in at school with 16 year olds..no uniform though) never having done it before. I went on to further education after that.
I'm 50 this year and it's still something I'm very proud of :)

Ah I didn't mean it in that way - it's just more in my dream I'm just wondering why the hell am I suddenly back there and just feel a bit confused over the whole situation. I don't really get to control my feelings in my dreams. (Just went on a 5 minute daydream about how I wish I could. Ryan Reynolds may have made a cameo....nice)

Well, you're not supposed to. But if it sounds plausible they're not going to check if it's true. This is only if you can't think of anything to put down.
