Graphics card for multi monitor

Right so i have 3 monitors a 24" LG (24EA53) and 2 17" Dells (E173FP). Im looking to get all 3 monitors working. Will only be gaming on the 24" LG, the other two are mainly for displaying images as I work on them on the main display or web browsing etc. Currently the LG uses the HDMI input and one monitor uses the DVI-D adaptor for VGA input. I tried using a DVI-I adaptor but this doesnt work for monitor 3.

My GFX card is a MSI Gamers Series GTX660 and it is good for my needs, not a heavy use gamer and dont worry too much about graphics. So my question is this...

I was just wondering could I add something like a Radeon 5450 or a GT610 purely for the third monitor and not SLI it to go alongside my GTX660. Id prefer to use a single slot card as it will leave some room for airflow to cool. Also my motherboard doesnt support SLI. Need to be able to handle 2x VGA inputs and one HDMI.

My system specs are as follows:
    Corsair Carbide 300r
    Asrock 970 Pro3
    AMD FX6300
    G Skill Ripjaws 8gb 1600mhz cl9
    MSI Gamers Series GTX660
    Corsair CX600
Seagate Barracuda 1tb and 2tb HDD
    Sandisc 120gb SSD

If i cant use a second card should I upgrade the 660 to something bigger?
