Change of Insurance but can't find licence

The car insurance is up for renewal and I am in middle of house move and can't find my license. I assume it is in one of the house move boxes. I hardly drive the car so don't have it on me all the time.

My question is will the new insurance company need a copy of my license or just my license number?

Any time I have changed insurance they have wanted a copy of the front and back of the licence. Call them and they will be able to tell you.
If it is just a renewal then you don't need to provide a copy.

Some ask, some dont. I changed over to Liberty last year and they didnt request a copy of my license.
