Problems with T3S Cartomizer

I originally started with a Kanger Twist, T3, and then changed to the T3s. I got new twist batteries and had no problems. :D Vaping about 18 months and considering dropping down to 6mg liquid :D

I recently needed replacement batteries and bought a couple of eGo-C upgrade 650v. I don't think the twist batteries were available at time of ordering. However my problem is the Cartomizer or coil unit seems to burn our after maybe a day / day and half (2.5ohm). Just wont seem to connect.

Should this be happening? Is the battery too strong ? I have never had a problem before.

Please help as am going through about 5/6 coils a week !!:(

Previously a coil would have lasted a week or 10 days with a little clean !

What colour is the switch when pressed? If its kinda orange then you have it set to unregulated mode-4.2v when fully charged. You can change it to regulated mode by turning it off, then holding the switch for 5 seconds (I think) until the light flashes blue, then turn it back on with 5 clicks.
I haven't used my ego c in a while so I'm a bit sketchy on the details. :-)

reading back on your post, 2.5ohms should be fine at 4.2v.???

Thanks for reply. Yes it was on orange. I could never understand how to change it, so thanks for that. I'll try it on regulated (blue) for a while and see how if this helps.

No, it definitely shouldn't be happening. If the only other thing you've changed is the battery, I'd be inclined to think that's the problem, though it's more likely it would not be holding a charge, as opposed to giving too much power and burning the coils.

Sorry for not having a solution:confused:

I think if you go to 'the best shop' website they have instructions on how to change modes.

Thanks for reply. Yeah thats the only thing i've changed. I think I might get a couple of Kanger Twists. Was very happy with them.

I'd be more inclined to try a new clearo first, maybe a mini protank or an aspire?

Hi Fred, What do you think about the Kanger Mini Protank 3 ? What type of replacement coil will I need? Or which one would you reccommend?

The Aspire Nautilus looks complicated  and expensive and don't think it will fit on batteries I have. Would I need an extra connector ??

    Any help appreciated, thanks

My personal opinion is that Kanger Protank V3 is much better than Aspire. With v3 I haven't experienced any gurgling like with aspire or any other bottom coil clearomizer. And it uses dual coil heads as well.

    Hi everyone,

So finally I got a chance to set up my Aspire BDC and the remains of my Kangers have gone to a good home ! Hopefully I won't have any more problems with coil burnout. Thanks for all the replies and advice.

Just as a matter of interest to those taking flights to foreign parts. I brought all my e-smoke bits and bobs through as hand luggage and had no problems what so ever ( Dublin-Malaga)
