    Hi there,

I've moved your thread to the Motorbikes forum where it might be more appropriate.

I'm in Dublin 12 too. Jasus, didn't think half the bike forum were there. I think ninja900 is nearby too.
But I'm not interested in joining a club, sorry!

Clubs are great craic. "The Pale Riders" isn't bad, but mine is the Corkmen Of The Apocalypse. Behold the Fat Riders - Flatulence, Lumbago, Hemorrhoids, and a Furken Bastid Hangover. We lend each other spanners, and go on drive-by garage admirings. Rock and roll, brah.

So, what exactly will happen in this motorcycle club??

They will meet once a year on bikes, but be busy as fook on FB and boards.ie. There will be an initiation ceremony (all service their bikes and ask about any single sisters one might have) and they all have to give €50 to Pale Rider for sundries.

After a brief honeymoon period the club will break up coz pale rider moved out of his "MA's Gaff".....

    :D:D:D

    Only takin the piss

I'd be curious about this too. I got bored of going for a spin to the same place every weekend. There's only so many laps of the gap or wicklow area I can do before I fall asleep.

I found a nice club that feels the same way. We tend to travel to all sorts of touristy type places. If anyone is up for joining us some Saturday send me a PM.

It'll just be a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who go to rally's, go on spins and the like. Possibly set up our own event. All the details will be discussed if the club forms. All the decisions will not be mine alone to make u see

Sure just across the M50. But you're not allowed in the club :D

OK so Dublin outside the M50 is technically the bog, but I grew up in D12, does that help?

God help ye Pale Rider, you need a thick skin & a sense of humour on boards forums

Don't let people put you off, taking the piss is a right of passage around here

Best of luck with your new venture, you have your work cut out for you

Worry not. I'm fairly thick skinned. If nothing comes of this at least a few folk got to have a laugh :)

Ahh sure if he cant have a laugh the club would be brutal anyway :pac::pac:....its all in good spirits no harm meant. Its a great idea and I am sure the more lads he meets on bikes the more chance of starting the "THE BLUE OYSTER MCC"

Have you been hanging around with any clubs, or tried hooking up in a biker/rock bar scene. Or maybe you've attended a rally or two?.

They're all good places to start, and you might get an idea if you're stepping on anyone's toes by starting an mcc in your area too.

There's no mcc in my area that I'm aware of. Trust me I've asked around. That's the reason for starting one

I'd still suggest you hang out in the scene first, get a feel for the commitment a club takes or you might find yourself interested in another well established club. A biker bar, race meeting et is a good place to get a feel for things.

Best of luck whatever path you choose and safe riding Bro.

Lots of input from posters about their own experiences of what they have done with their biker mates.

I think you have been given some good advice.
