Saw his name in the Nordea masters and got me to thinking of a story I heard about him.

apparently he was playing matchplay against big phil in the mid 90's and on sinking the winning putt, reversed his putter, tucked it under his arm and proceeded to mock machine gun Phil. :D:D

Apparently Phil wasnt too impressed. Does anyone remember this incident?

Any other tales of bizarre golf behaviour by pros?

Been doing this to my mates for years, never gets old.

Think that might have happened in the old Dunhill tournament, where it was country v country, 3 matches, medal matchplay.

Phil got his own back in the '99 ryder cup, where he obliterated our man Jarmo!

I'll say it ... Boo Weekly rodeo riding his driver down the fairway at the Ryder Cup.
Still think it's up there with the most stupid thing I've seen, thankfully he's fallen off the face of the earth.

I wouldn't mind falling off the face of the earth and still be 69th in the world

Hardly, won last season and playing well so far in the US this season

I think that US win for crucial for the continued success of the Ryder Cup - the US were getting bored of losing every time. Think they need another win again soon for the same reason

I genuinely did NOT know that!
Wishful thinking on my part then!
