My daughter and myself will be playing MK8 all this weekend but while I have two wheels I have only one Wiimote Plus.

Where could I pickup (today) and Wiimote Plus at a decent price ?

*I got my one wiimote plus with WiiU Party.

MK8 doesn't need plus from the information I've gathered over the last few days. A regular one should work fine.

Really ? I assumed all WiiU games with motion controls used the plus. I assumed :)

Would the motion plus not be better even if it does support the original wiimotes ?

Well for starters I can confirm Pikmin 3 definitely doesn't require one based on my own experience. There's no mention for the requirement for plus for MK8 either, so its a safe bet imo

    Ok. Thanks for that.

I just found out the gamepads motion controls can be used also so that's an option. Just like the idea of the Wheels. Have a few other wiimotes but they won't fit in the wheel with the motion plus adapters.

I don't think MK8 needs motion plus. If you look at the pictures for the wheel - e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mario-Kart-Racing-Wheel-Nintendo/dp/B00IAL5KE2/ - you can see that they are not Motion Plus controllers.

Yeah. I think I'll just go with what I have so. Thanks guys.

*Will test out the Wiimote versus MotionPlus anyway and go from there after tomorrow.

Yeah and sure if it doesn't work, you can use the gamepad. So at least you won't be stuck until you can get a new Wii motion plus controller
